Emma Jordon
Emma Therese Jordon was 5 and ½ years old when she was diagnosed with Wilms Tumor (nephroblastoma), a pediatric cancer of the kidney. She started ballet in Belgium at age 4 and continued at Metropolitan Fine Arts Studio in 2006 when we moved to Fairfax Station, VA. She loved ballet (and Miss Katie), going to Silverbrook Elementary, being a Daisy and Brownie Girl Scout, being a cheerleader for the South County Colts (her brothers’ football teams), being in the “girls” club, and playing with her friends- Poly Pockets, dress-up, princesses, house, school, dolls, and Littlest Pet Shop. Emma loved music, especially The Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, and The Cheetah Girls. She liked having movie nights with her friends and going to shows at the theater. She enjoyed being outside on our fort, riding her scooter or bike, and especially swinging. Emma lived her life to the fullest. She dreamed of being cancer-free and just doing everything a normal young girl enjoys. Emma is the little sister to Will and Zachary and big sister to Samuel, her constant playmate. Emma earned her angel wings at 7 years old on September 18, 2008. She will be remembered for her courage, her strength, and her love for others.
